Attendee Bio
Hi, I’m Trisha Stacey and I am the Director of Indirect Sourcing, Technology and Corporate Services for Sysco Corporation leading a global team with teams in England, Costa Rica, and the United States.
I enjoy my job...and I don’t understand those who don’t enjoy their work. I like to say that happiness is my spirit animal, and I work with smart, positive people doing something I genuinely enjoy...procuring technology.
When I run into a friend in the office and he/she asks, “what are you working on these days?” I respond, “I do what no one else wants to do. I read contracts.” I know, I know...any self-respecting technology developer/manager/executive can’t stand procurement. We throw up roadblocks, slow things down, and say no. I totally get that, and I am sure we earn some of that every day. I never try to defend what we do; instead, I let our actions and results speak for themselves.
I make it my mission to treat my stakeholders as customers. I want to ensure that everyone who interacts with our department has a positive experience. My goal is not just to handle transactions but to add value. I believe that results are the strongest rebuttals to the long-held beliefs about procurement.
With two decades of experience in Technology and Services procurement, I maintain a strong work ethic and possess the ability to communicate with business leaders and technology executives. I thrive in high-pressure, short-deadline scenarios. I understand the difference between the work you must get done and the work you really want to spend your time on. I lead a proactive, data-driven global team that separates transactional from strategic tasks with proven results. We drive to de-risk commercials and negotiate both bottom-line savings and cost avoidance. Last fiscal year, my team processed 1,500 transactions, generating more than $20M in combined savings.
